The WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 has finally come here and officially launched WWE’s new ESPN era with one of the most stacked cards of the year. With crossover legends, dream matches and title matches, the show is expected to offer a combination of spectacle and storytelling from top to bottom.

The event will be held live at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis, Indiana. The pre-show will start at 5pm ET and the main show will start at 7pm. WWE Wrestlepalooza Results (9/20/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show began with a lengthy video about the connection between sports and entertainment. The Countdown Show was hosted by Michael Cole, Wade Barrett (Returned), and Big E. Cole thanked fans for helping WWE reach this level, and is now featured on ESPN. Tyrese Haliburton was featured as a fourth panel member.

They talked about the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs John Cena match and Lesnar’s attack on Corey Graves.

Peter Rosenberg was shown in the crowd and interacted with fans who had oversized tickets. He said Indianapolis has always been China’s territory and fans were clearly behind him.

They announced that Triple H, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk and AJ Lee will be part of the kickoff show. There were some ESPN promotions throughout. The video was aired for USOS vs. The Vision, indicating that both teams are taking part in a behind-the-scenes battle that had to be split up by security. Big E asked how WWE is regaining talent that they didn’t plan to return. Triple H said he and Nick Karn will now treat it differently. A lighter schedule makes WWE more attractive. He said the day wasn’t over, even if no one wanted to join or return. Broadcast partnerships and WWE’s position at the top attract talent who wants to prove they belong.

Kathy Kelly interviewed Stephanie Verker. She says she is nervous but is excited to make history with WWE and ESPN, calling her match the most important of her career.

Michael Cole opened the show. USO was seen walking through the arena lobby. Seth Rollins and Vision were behind the scenes. Becky Lynch was said to have jokingly robbed a big bird. Commercial Punk and AJ Lee were shown behind the scenes. Stephanie and Aiyo watched them walk down the hallway. Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre were next on display.

The arena went dark and we played a video about WWE joining ESPN.

Paul Levesque has been revealed to be in the ring to open the show as a surprise segment. He asked if he could feel the energy in the Indy crowd, calling this the final form of sports and entertainment. He welcomed new viewers from WWE and ESPN, and then officially launched Wrestlepalooza. The pyro blows up around the arena. Surprisingly, he didn’t ask if we were ready. Someone probably wasn’t.

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

Alicia Taylor began introducing her big ring. As she was about to introduce Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman came out and took over the job herself.

Brock Lesnar jumped Cena with the bell and beat him with the horns with the shoulder block. Fans chanted Cena, but it was all blocks when he threw Cena hard into the turnbuckle. Lesnar was trapped in a bear hug from behind. Cena attempted to adjust her attitude, but Brock slid down and nailed the giant Lariat. Brock followed up with a series of German suppressions.

Cena was free and forced Lesnar to the turnbuckle. He hit multiple shoulder blocks and followed up with three attitude adjustments in succession. Cena went to cover, but Brock was kicked out at the last moment. Cena went to five knuckle shuffles, but Lesnar refuted, and hit F5 in a row. Lesnar hit the third F5 and set it up in the fourth. He nailed it and pinned Cena.

After the match, Lesnar gave the referee an F5 and then hit Cena with another person for a good measure. They showed young fans in the crowd when Lesnar made his exit.

It took Cena a while to get up. The crowd chanted “Thank you, Cena” as he slowly walked back.

Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed vs. Usos

Bronson and Jay held a match. USO worked together to double team him. Bronson tried to grab a chair, but Blakeker argued with La Knight, but Knight stopped him. Jimmy Uso landed a superkick and then picked up the chair himself. Turning Knight’s back, Jimmy broke Bronson. Bron rolled onto the floor and Jay jumped into Bronson, following Breakker outside.

Bron and Bronson took control, cut off Jimmy and put on him. Bron hit a suppression on two counts. The chair stayed in the ring, clearly waiting for him to come back. Jimmy finally broke freely and made a hot tag. Jay went in and cleaned the house. The Indy crowd was loudly screaming “Yett” with every big move. Jay charges at Bron and is thrown onto the top rope, but attacks Bron for a two-count and bounces back.

Usos pulled the table into the ring and set it up on the corner as Bronson and Blakeker cried out. Bron charges through the table, but Lies stops him with a super kick. USOS tried the pin by hitting a double superkick, but Bronson broke it.

Moment turned around as Bron speared Jimmy. Jay answered with his own spear and followed with a two-count top rope splash.

Jay then clashed with La Knight, causing debate. In Chaos, Paul Heyman slid the chair over Bron. Jay grabbed it and went for the swing, but Bron leaned over and Jay attacked the knight. Blakeker, bleeding from his back, spitted both lies from the table. Reed continued with Jimmy holding a tsunami from above for Pin.

They showed War and Treaty, ESPN President Tyrese Halliburton in the crowd. They also showed WWE women’s champion Tiffany Stratton sitting at the ringside.

Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer

She went for Moons but missed and crashed with a bad knee. The Verker climbed to the top and nailed a spinning torneo dive for the pin.

Iyo gave Stephanie Vaquer the title belt after the match.

AJ Lee & CM Punk vs. Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins

Rollins and Lynch get in to match the purple gear and are lowered from the platform where fire was shot. CM Punk first came out and the crowd chanted for him. He was waiting for Aji Lee. Once they all entered the ring, they all turned to it.

Punk and Seth squared to start. Becky was quickly tagged and began pushing punks and even jabs him. The crowd chanted GTS, but instead tagged with AJ. Becky smacked the punk, ran and tagged AJ before she could reach her. Becky and Seth hugged the outside, but Punk jumped into Rollins and threw them into the fans before slamming the axehandle flying out of the barricade.

Back in the ring, Rollins hit a puncture with a shoulder block in the corner. While the referee was distracted, Becky took a cheap shot with a punk. After a while, AJ did the same thing with Rollins. This got a huge response from the crowd. Punk and Rollins went to it, and Punk landed another axehandle from the top rope. Punk went to another Axehandle, but Rollins caught him and retorted. Rollins attempted pedigree, but Punk slipped off and went to GTS. Rollins escaped and defeated him, then targeted Punk’s back before sending him to the floor.

Outside, Rollins slammed Punk onto the announcer’s table. Back in the ring, Rollins stayed on the attack, stomping Punk’s hand and reaching for the tag. Rollins kissed Becky and slammed Punk into his back while he was caught in the ropes. The Punk took a long throbbing heartbeat and eventually landed a suppression to change momentum. Rollins cut him off again and pretended to allow the tag, but instead pulled Punk back and kept control.

Punk’s muscular Rollins heads towards his corner, but the referee misses the tag and stops AJ from entering, causing Rollins and Lynch to be a double-team punk. They announced that the 10/11 WWE Crown Jewel will begin at 8am in the East.

Cody landed the Cody cutter for a two count and set it up for the Crossroads, but Drew fought back with a knee and a kiss from Glasgow. Drew then pounded white noise in the nearest fall. He founded it for Claymore, but Cody rebutted it with a Powerbomb. After more exchanges, Rhodes was trapped in the leglock in Figure 4.
