The first match for NXT Deadline has officially been announced.

On the previous episode of The Black & Silver Show, Ricky Saints triumphed over Trick Williams in a Last Man Standing match for the NXT Championship. Following this confrontation, Oba Femi made his return to the brand and confronted the NXT Champion.

During Night 1 of this week’s NXT Gold Rush Special, Femi faced off against Saints. After an intense encounter, Ricky extended an offer for a title match at the upcoming NXT pay-per-view, which Oba accepted.

Trick Williams also chimed in, expressing his commitment to pursue the NXT Title. However, Miles Bourne ambushed Williams from behind and struck him with a steel chair.

This wasn’t the only match confirmed for NXT’s final pay-per-view of the year, as General Manager Eva announced the return of the Iron Survivor Challenge.

She disclosed that John Cena personally chose the participants for this year’s men’s and women’s Survivor matches, with the roster set to be revealed next week.

NXT Deadline is scheduled to take place at the Boeing Center at Techport in San Antonio, Texas, on December 6, 2025, just a week before Cena’s retirement match.

Fan Take: This news is significant for NXT fans as it builds anticipation for major showdowns and elevates the stakes with Cena’s involvement. The inclusion of the Iron Survivor Challenge adds an exciting twist that could shake up the championship landscape and introduce fresh rivalries in the sport.
