In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, the AEW President discussed various topics, including Chris Jericho’s absence and the decision to broadcast the CM Punk All In footage. When questioned about Andrade’s current situation, Khan revealed that he maintains a positive relationship with the Mexican wrestler. He expressed openness to welcoming Andrade back to AEW once he is officially free to wrestle again.
“I think very highly of Andrade. I had a great experience working with him, and he left on excellent terms initially. When he mentioned he was available and only made a one-night appearance, I was eager to see him return. Whenever he is free to compete again, he will always be welcome in AEW,” Khan stated.
Andrade made a surprise appearance on the Dynamite 6th Anniversary Special on October 1, 2025, shortly after his WWE release. However, reports later emerged that he was pulled from AEW programming following a cease-and-desist notice from WWE, which claimed he was subject to a one-year non-compete clause. When asked if Andrade had misrepresented his free agency status, Khan refrained from commenting directly but described the situation as interesting.
“I can’t discuss that further… It’s an unusual circumstance, and we are monitoring it closely. But I definitely believe it’s Andrade El Idolo’s world,” Khan remarked.
