John Cena Set to Unveil Iron Survivor Roster on NXT Next Week!

2 Min Read

John Cena is preparing for his final weekly television appearance.

He made his last appearance on Raw yesterday at Madison Square Garden, participating in a six-man tag team match.

While fans anticipated this to be his last weekly TV moment, the announcement on this week’s NXT caught everyone off guard.

This episode of The Black & Silver Show featured a video segment from NXT General Manager Eva, who discussed the upcoming Deadline pay-per-view and the return of the Iron Survivor Challenge.

John Cena selects Iron Survivor participants

Eva noted that in previous years, legends have been asked to select participants for the women’s and men’s matches. This year, however, it will be John Cena who determines the complete roster for both bouts, with the official announcement set for next week.

During his retirement tour, Cena has been frequenting the WWE Performance Center, which is why he chose to highlight NXT talent in his final showcase.

However, it’s unlikely that he will appear live on next week’s show, as the announcement is expected to come through a video package.

NXT Deadline is scheduled for December 6th in San Antonio, Texas, just one week ahead of Cena’s retirement match, which will headline the event on December 13th.

*Fan Take: This news is significant for NXT fans as it highlights Cena’s ongoing influence in the wrestling world, even during his retirement. It brings excitement to the upcoming Iron Survivor Challenge while honoring his legacy, showing that even in farewell moments, he contributes to shaping the future of the sport.*
