Matt Cardona is fed up with being associated with other people’s scams. On November 25, he utilized Twitter to unveil two Instagram accounts that were impersonating him and promoting dubious investment schemes. The accounts, @treinadorariel and @markorrobbins1, featured his images and boasted an enticing promised return of 20% per month for investments ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.

To raise awareness, Cardona shared a screenshot of the fraudulent profiles and sought assistance in having them removed, tweeting: "Does anyone know how to delete these fraudulent IG accounts? (without paying thousands of dollars)."

The scammers declared: "I invest 20% every month. If you give me $50,000 to $100,000, I’ll give you back 20% every month." The imposters showcased photos of Cardona in the ring and sported inflated follower counts—one private account had 55,000 followers and the other, public account had over 300,000.

This situation exemplifies how scams exploit celebrity images to deceive unsuspecting individuals into losing their money. Cardona, who has previously addressed impersonation issues, is now urging platforms like Instagram to act swiftly to eliminate these fake accounts without imposing steep fees on creators.

Fan Take: This news highlights the urgent need for protecting the integrity of wrestling personalities, as scams tarnish their reputation and mislead fans. For wrestling fans, it’s essential to stay vigilant against such fraudulent schemes, as they can undermine the trust and affiliation they have with their favorite stars.
