Seth Rollins Sets Sights on WrestleMania 42 Comeback Following Shoulder Injury

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently discussed his recovery plan. Alongside his wife, WWE superstar Becky Lynch, Rollins appeared on comedian Bert Kreischer’s show “Something’s Burning,” where he shared his expected timeline for returning to the ring.

Rollins revealed to Kreischer that he aims to resume training by February 2026 in preparation for WrestleMania 42, scheduled for April 18-19, 2026. He expressed his eagerness to be part of WWE’s biggest event of the year, saying:

“If you get this [arm sling], I’ll be off it in about a month, but I might need to take some full rest time before fully committing to training again. I’m guessing around eight to twelve weeks before I can seriously focus. Probably by February, after the holidays, I’ll be ready to get serious and stop messing around. So please expect about a month of ramp-up before my return. Some say it could take six months, so it might be closer to April.”

If Rollins returns by WrestleMania 42, fans might wonder how he fits into the storyline. A surprise comeback during CM Punk’s title match could add drama, especially since Rollins had to vacate the Heavyweight Championship due to his injury. The vacant title was recently contested between Jey Uso and Punk, with Punk winning the championship, possibly giving Rollins a motive for revenge.

Regarding his injury and storyline developments, Rollins hurt his shoulder during his match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11. Following the event, on WWE Raw, Rollins was betrayed by his Vision teammates Bronson Reed and Bron Breaker, who attacked him. This injury and betrayal storyline have kept Rollins out of action.

Currently, The Vision faction has aligned with Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar to face off against Rose, Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey, and Jimmy Uso in a WarGames match at Survivor Series on November 29. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch will compete in the Women’s War Games alongside Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Rush Legend.

Fan Take: Seth Rollins’ anticipated return could shake up the WWE landscape just in time for WrestleMania, setting the stage for thrilling rivalries. His comeback story, paired with dramatic betrayals and title contention, keeps fans invested and highlights the enduring excitement of WWE storytelling.
