Love is making its presence felt even in the world of WWE. During the extended Thanksgiving weekend, just a day before the Survivor Series: WarGames event, Rush Legend announced some thrilling news. On November 28, Rush Legend shared an Instagram video showing Trick Williams, a two-time NXT World Champion, proposing to her amidst family and friends. In her post, she expressed overwhelming joy, gratitude, and love for Trick Williams, calling him not only her fiancé but her best friend. She also whimsically referred to herself as “The Devil’s Fiancé” on X (formerly Twitter).
Recently promoted from NXT to WWE SmackDown’s main roster, Rush Legend made her debut on the November 7th SmackDown episode against Nia Jax. She, alongside teammates Nia Jax, the Kabuki Warriors, and Becky Lynch, is set to face AJ Lee, IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss in a WarGames match at Survivor Series on November 29. Meanwhile, Trick Williams is involved in a heated rivalry with the current NXT World Champion Ricky Saints. Williams was defeated by Saints in a Last Man Standing match on November 11 and recently lost to Miles Bourne in an Iron Survivor Qualifier during the NXT Gold Rush special.
The couple received heartfelt congratulations from several WWE stars. Nia Jax enthusiastically congratulated them, as did Julia’s manager Kiana James, NXT’s Kehlani Jordan, Bailey, former NXT star Desmond Xavier, Women’s World Champion Jade Cargill, Ivy Nile with a warm message, and Julius Creed with an emotional shout-out. Many others, including NXT GM Eva Reign, Zelina Vega, Laney Reed, Izzy Dame, Adriana Rizzo, Nikita Lyons, Carmen Petrovic, Tony D’Angelo, and Megan Morant, also sent their well wishes to the happy couple.
Fan Take: This engagement adds a fresh, heartfelt dimension to WWE storylines, reminding fans that beyond the intense competition and rivalries, real human connections thrive in the wrestling community. It also brings a sense of joy and unity that can inspire both performers and fans alike, enriching the culture of WWE.
