Samoan werewolves might be making a comeback soon. WWE SmackDown fans of Jacob Fatu are excited as news about his potential return is circulating. Fatu remains a fan favorite and a key figure on SmackDown.

According to PWInsider via WrestlePurists, Jacob Fatu, the former WWE United States Champion, could be back “in the coming weeks.” Though exact dates are yet to be confirmed, sources suggest he might soon join a WWE tour. Conversations about his comeback reportedly started backstage at WWE Survivor Series: War Games.

Fatu took time off to recover from dental procedures. His last match was a non-televised bout against Rusev on the September 12, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown. Prior to that, his last televised match was on August 15, where he teamed with Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn to defeat JC Mateo, Solo Chicoa, and Tonga Loa.

Since joining WWE in June 2024 as part of the Bloodline faction, Fatu made a strong impression with his debut on June 21, 2024, attacking top stars like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Bloodline members. His in-ring debut came on July 6, 2024, at Money in the Bank, where he, Solo Chicoa, and Tama Tonga secured a win against Rose, Owens, and Orton.

Following the breakup of the original Bloodline, Fatu aligned himself with Shikoa and turned against Reigns. Tensions grew between Fatu and Chicore, especially after Chicore’s loss to Reigns in a tribal combat match on WWE RAW on January 6. On Money in the Bank 2025, Fatu attacked Sikoa, expressed his hatred, and went independent.

Fatu’s last pay-per-view match was a Steel Cage contest against Cicor for the WWE United States Championship, which Sikoa won with assistance. After Fatu’s hiatus, Sami Zayn defeated Sikoa for the title and later lost it to current champion Ilya Dragunov.

Just before his dental treatment break, Fatu had started a feud with Drew McIntyre, beginning on September 26. However, he was taken off TV less than a month later, following a backstage “attack” before his scheduled match against McIntyre on the October 17 episode of SmackDown. Had he been fully fit, Fatu likely would have participated in this year’s Survivor Series: WarGames, potentially altering the storyline involving McIntyre and Cody Rhodes.

Fan Take: Jacob Fatu’s return is highly anticipated as he adds a unique, dynamic presence to WWE’s roster that fans have missed. His comeback could shake up ongoing feuds and bring fresh energy to major WWE events, making the sport even more thrilling to watch.
