At 43 years old, Eddie Kingston is past the peak of his wrestling career and has recently returned to AEW after an 18-month break, with retirement on the horizon. During an interview on the "Gabby AF" podcast, "The Mad King" shared details about his AEW contract and his plans for retirement.

Kingston stated, "I have six years left on my contract, so I want to earn some money and then buy a house in Alaska to get away from society." He added, "Take me to Alaska… as long as I can stream the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers, etc., I’m fine. Just leave me alone!"

Although Kingston has a retirement plan in mind, he has two major goals to achieve first, including winning the AEW World Championship. He also hopes to wrestle at Budokan Hall in Japan, a venue that holds special meaning for him due to some of his favorite matches taking place there.

He explained, "When I was in Japan and had many great matches at Sumo Hall and Korakuen, I felt this… like… energy. It was like a high, almost like going to church. I felt a higher presence there." Kingston also expressed a desire to return to Osaka simply because he loves the place.
