Unveiling the Truth: Why CM Punk Has Been Missing from WWE

2 Min Read

The true reason behind WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk’s absence from his recent wrestling match has been disclosed. Punk last appeared in the ring on November 29 during WWE Survivor Series War Games, where he teamed up with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos but lost to Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and The Vision (Logan Paul, Bron Breaker, and Bronson Reed).

It has come to light that Punk was absent from TV because he was filming a movie. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Punk is currently acting in the upcoming Netflix film “The Bodyguard.” Dave Meltzer noted, “Punk hasn’t watched TV in two weeks because he’s been filming the Netflix movie ‘The Bodyguard,'” adding that Punk will portray a security guard character who is meant to be both intimidating and humorous.

The movie “The Bodyguard” is based on a novel by Katherine Center and stars Leighton Meester, Jared Padalecki, and Andie MacDowell. Netflix’s Tudum confirmed the production in November and described the romantic comedy’s storyline involving a “serious bodyguard” tasked with protecting a “charming action star.” The film, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum and written by Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith, is expected to explore holiday-themed romance with plenty of surprises.

Earlier in November, fans caught a glimpse of CM Punk’s more intense role in the horror film “Night Patrol.” Outside of his career, CM Punk and AJ Lee recently shared the sad news of their dog Larry’s passing. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Punk is set to make an appearance on an upcoming WWE show.
