Tessitore revealed that Knight sustained several injuries, the most severe being a cracked sternum, leading to an indefinite suspension from WWE activities.
This update sparked rumors, but Sean Ross Sapp dismissed the idea that WWE has abandoned Knight. In a fightful Q&A, Sapp noted that this situation doesn’t add up—Knight is set to compete in the John Cena tournament finals and recently defeated Jey Uso to get there. The Christmas-week episode has already been taped, so Knight’s absence will be brief and align with the usual slowdown in activities at year-end. There is no evidence that Knight’s momentum is ending, only pausing. Although Knight won’t appear on TV for a short period, this is a strategic business move rather than a dismissal. WWE has a history of temporarily removing popular stars from the screen with clear goals in mind.
