Tyler Breeze, famously known as WWE’s “Prince Pretty,” recently shared insights about the abrupt end of the “Fashion Files” segments he starred in alongside Fandango as part of their Breezango duo. The quirky “Fashion Police” skits, which gained popularity in 2016 and 2017 on WWE SmackDown, unexpectedly ceased. Breeze told Reel Appreciation that he believes the segments ended by accident during a meeting about the upcoming pay-per-view event. According to him, while the writers and performers were all engaged and having fun, Vince McMahon questioned the purpose of the “Fashion Files” because it wasn’t related to the pay-per-view. This led to a sudden directive to discontinue the segment. Breeze noted that although McMahon was very involved in other parts of the show, he generally left their segment alone, allowing the writers creative freedom which often led to spontaneous and humorous content.
Fan Take: The sudden halt of the “Fashion Files” highlights how creative ideas in WWE can be vulnerable to sudden changes in executive priorities, especially when focused on major events like pay-per-views. For fans, this means some of the most entertaining and unique segments might be at risk, but it also shows the importance of keeping innovation alive in WWE storytelling to keep the audience engaged.
