Kevin Nash Stands Firm, Won’t Sever WWE Links Despite Donald Trump Connection

Mick Foley grabbed attention when he decided to cut ties with WWE due to his ongoing association with Donald Trump. However, Kevin Nash has made it clear he won’t follow suit. On December 16, Foley announced he would stop appearing in WWE because of the company’s close relationship with Trump. In contrast, Nash addressed the topic on his podcast, Kliq This, expressing his decision to stay with WWE and choose a different path.

Nash explained, “He bailed, and I was like, well, I get it. If Mick feels that way, I get it from Mick’s standpoint. But for me personally, some people have emailed me asking if I would do the same, and I want to clarify my position.”

He shared a heartfelt reason for his loyalty to WWE, highlighting his deep bond with Paul “Triple H” Levesque and the McMahon family. Nash recounted, “Paul and I traveled together for about a year and a half. I was at their wedding and even one of Paul’s best men. When I was Diesel, they flew my wife to New York. Linda McMahon treated my wife to a special girls’ night out and dinner at the Rainbow Room. That was the first time my wife visited New York while I was busy with commercials and other commitments. Linda took wonderful care of her, and I’ll always appreciate that.”

The WWE Hall of Famer emphasized that these personal relationships keep him tied to the company, noting, “I consider the McMahon-Levesque family as family. They’re like my Republican family. We might see things differently politically, but they’re still family to me.”

Nash also commented on Triple H’s recent role on the President’s Fitness Council, saying, “For Paul to join Arnold on the President’s Fitness Council, which he clearly intends to do, is a huge honor and means a lot to him.”

While Nash and Foley may share political views, their personal loyalties and choices differ strongly. Foley has firmly stated he will not appear in WWE or renew his Legends contract as a protest against President Trump, but Nash has chosen not to take the same route.
