AEW’s primary venue in Jacksonville, Florida, Daley’s Place, will be closing temporarily following a concert scheduled later this month. This site, closely linked with AEW and Everbank Stadium—home of the Jacksonville Jaguars owned by Tony Khan’s father, Shahid Khan—is expected to remain shut for a minimum of three years.
According to Jacksonville.com, the amphitheater will close after the Jonas Brothers perform on December 30. Daley’s Place’s official Twitter account described the closure as a “break,” hinting at exciting upcoming changes related to Everbank Stadium. Renovations starting next year will involve replacing the stadium’s upper deck and adding a new roof. While the Jaguars’ games will continue in the stadium next year, fans won’t have access to the upper deck.
More extensive construction in 2027 will force the stadium to close entirely for the year, canceling all events. This renovation schedule impacts the 2026 and 2027 concert seasons and much of 2028, leaving the venue unavailable for a considerable period. Although owned by the city, Daley’s Place is managed by Bold Events, a Shahid Khan-owned company.
Fan Take: This closure is significant for AEW fans as it disrupts a key location for live events and could shift the promotion’s dynamics in the coming years. However, the renovations signal long-term improvements that may enhance the live experience, promising exciting future moments for the sport.
