Penta Makes Triumphant Comeback, Rescues Rey Mysterio from Vision on WWE RAW

2 Min Read

Penta made a comeback from injury on Monday and helped Rey Mysterio even the odds against The Vision. Initially, Mysterio was set to face Austin Theory, but Logan Paul interrupted the match, causing Mysterio to trip while attempting his signature 619 move, which led to Mysterio’s disqualification. Following the match, Paul and Theory defeated Mysterio, but Penta’s entrance music played, and he rushed to the ring to take down both members of The Vision.

Penta had been off WWE TV after suffering a shoulder injury on the red brand back on November 24th. His quarterfinal match for the “Last Time Is Now” tournament against Solo Chicoa was canceled when Chicoa got hurt attempting a diving hurricanrana off the barricade, resulting in a referee stoppage and Sicore being declared the winner. Furthermore, Penta missed the much-anticipated Lucha Brothers tag team reunion event with his brother Rey Fenix, scheduled for December 20th at AAA Guerra de Titans, with Mysterio stepping in to fill his spot.

Fan Take: Penta’s return is a thrilling boost for WWE fans, especially those who appreciate high-flying lucha libre styles. His comeback not only ramps up excitement but also opens up fresh storytelling opportunities and potential rivalries within WWE’s roster.
