2 Min Read

The final episode of WWE NXT for the year featured the announcement of the 2025 year-end awards. Jevon Evans took home the Male Superstar of the Year award. Although just 21 and yet to claim a championship in WWE, Evans has had several near-misses throughout the year and notably won the Deadline’s Iron Survivor Challenge. He recently appeared on WWE Raw and SmackDown, even competing for the WWE World Tag Team Championship alongside Leon Slater on the undercard of John Cena’s retirement event.

Zarya and Sol Luka, who form the team Zarka, earned the Tag Team of the Year award, which didn’t separate categories by gender. Sol Luka also had an impressive year individually, holding the Women’s Speed and NXT Women’s North American Championships for 200 and 189 days respectively, and was named Female Superstar of the Year. She also secured a victory against former Women’s Champion Bayley on Saturday Night’s main event card.

The standout Match of the Year was the triple threat contest for the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver featuring Oba Femi, Jevon Evans, and Trick Williams. Oba Femi emerged victorious in that match, holding the division’s top title before eventually losing it to Ricky Saints. Stand & Deliver also won Show of the Year honors.

Additionally, it was revealed on social media that Tatum Paxley earned the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc, capturing the prestigious Golden Bell.

Fan Take: Recognizing rising stars like Jevon Evans and Sol Luka highlights NXT’s role as a breeding ground for future WWE mainstays, providing fresh excitement and talent to the sport. These awards underscore the dynamic shifts within WWE’s landscape, hinting at promising storylines and rivalries for fans to anticipate in the coming year.
