On the December 30th episode of NXT, the brand had one last opportunity to make an impact in 2025, with only one episode left to air this year. Joe Hendry was eager for his moment to shine and make it memorable.

Hendry has always captivated NXT audiences with his musical abilities, having performed concert promotions not only in NXT but also during his time with TNA Wrestling. This week, he once again showcased his musical talent on NXT.

At the start of his performance, Hendry reflected on his successful 2025, marking milestones such as winning the TNA World Title, participating in the Royal Rumble, facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania, dominating The Miz on Saturday Night’s Main Event, and making his NXT debut. Then, he launched into his song.

Strumming a white acoustic guitar, Hendry took over the NXT kitchen set and performed a tune celebrating the strength of the women’s division. He gave shoutouts to Jevon Evans but took a jab at Ethan Page, sharing a humorous anecdote about Mr. Iguana stealing his car.

The chorus highlighted how NXT had been the perfect platform for Hendry in 2025. He sang about Trick Williams as a champion who now cries and releases bad songs and mentioned Ricky Starks calling him a “whining bitch” after losing the NXT Championship.

Hendry also brought up Dark State, claiming they would take over the show, but no one knew who they were until he made them famous. At that moment, the lights went out, and Dark State made their entrance.

The members of Dark State attacked Hendry in a brutal manner, overpowering him before he responded with a multi-person powerbomb. The segment ended with Hendry left on the mat, unable to finish his performance.

The song was catchy and well-written, capturing the essence of 2025, but unfortunately, Hendry’s concert was cut short.
