The show opens with comments welcoming us as we see clips of Cody Rhodes, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Rush Legend, Julia, Kiana James, MFT, and Drew McIntyre arriving at the arena.

Sami Zayn’s music then plays and he makes his way down to the ring to loud cheers from the fans. Sami then picks up the microphone and begins by welcoming everyone in French. Sami then says it feels good to go home. Sami then said that tomorrow’s momentum is a weird thing in WWE, but he feels like he has all the momentum. And Sami says he has a chance to be the No. 1 contender tomorrow night in Montreal.

Trick Williams’ music then interrupts and he makes his way down to the ring. Trick says they are not on the same level. Trick then says that he is Mr. 250 and Sami is Mr. Too Many Chances. Then Trick said let’s talk about it. Trick then tells Sami that his problem is that he can’t get the job done. And Trick says he wasn’t up to the task the last time Sami had a chance at the title in Montreal. Trick then says that’s the difference between the two. Trick then says he’s done his job. Trick then says he’s here to be WWE Champion and he’s going to say it to Sami’s face in the street.

Sami saw the trick and said some things were true. Sami then says that he lost a title match in his own city. Sami then says that was a bitter pill to swallow. Sami then said that you might become a champion in the future. Sami then says that Trick was right, that they are not on the same level. Sami then says that when you step into this ring, you have to remember that you’re up against the best of the best. Sami then says that you have every possibility. And Sami says that if he reaches his full potential, he’ll be half as good as he is if he’s lucky. Sami then said that if he thought he was wrong, he could do something about it now. Then Trick says no. Then Trick says he has something else in mind. Trick then says he has a match against Damian Priest in the main event. Trick then says that tomorrow’s work will be fine.

Then Damian Priest’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Priest tells Trick that he told him last week that he talks a lot. Then the priest said you went to everyone and talked to them. Then the priest said that he came before you last week and you did not say anything. Priest then says that he believes Trick is afraid of him. Then the priest said that if he said the wrong thing, he would drop his butt on the spot. Priest then asks Trick if he is scared. Then the priest asks him to please say something. The priest then said that if he didn’t want to say anything, he could do something. Trick then says that they need to mind their own business while the adults talk. Trick asks Damien if he thinks he’s scary. Then he said, do you think you don’t know what to say or when to pop out? Trick then hits Sami with the microphone. Priest then blocks Trick’s punch and Priest punches Trick. Sami hits a trick in the corner with a flurry of punches. Sami then shoves Damian and Trick hits Priest from behind and he hits Sami. Trick then steps out of the ring.

Randy Orton is then seen watching in the background, and Kathy Kelly asks Randy what he thinks and asks why he didn’t participate. Randy respectfully asks what kind of question that is. Then Randy says this is the year of the Viper. Then Randy says he will win his 15th gold medal. Then Randy says it doesn’t start tonight, it starts tomorrow night with Saturday Night’s Main Event. Randy then says he will defeat all three and go to Saudi Arabia to fight Drew McIntyre for the title with the most dangerous three letters in sports entertainment RKO.

Today’s match between Carmelo Hayes and Ilya Dragunov was seen and Hayes told Ilya that he was impressed with his match with Sami last week. He then tells them that a challenge is open. Ilya then says that he lost last week and has bruises from last week. Then he said, do you think you’re ready to wrestle tonight? Ilya then accepts the match. Miz then says that Elijah and Hayes are like friends. He then tells what happened to people who hated each other. Miz then advises him not to give it a chance. Miz then asks Hayes what Elijah has done for him so far. Hayes says Ms. Elijah has gone above and beyond.

Carmelo Hayes then comes down to the ring for the first match of the night. He was followed by Ilya Dragunov, who accepted the call for the US Open challenge after receiving a direct invitation from Hayes.

WWE United States Championship Open Challenge Match: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. “Mad Dragon” Ilya Dragunov

The match begins with a lockup between both men. Then Ilya missed the kick and blocked the first 48. Hayes hits a series of forearms and chops. Elijah then hits a German suplex but he survives. Elijah then hits a headbutt to the back of the neck and maintains a waist lock. More back elbows by Hayes and a chop by Elijah. Elijah then goes back to the waistlock. Both men then stand up and Hayes tries to force his way out of the hold, giving him a standing switch. Elijah then missed a Constantine Special and Hayes missed a springboard clothesline. Both men then collided with their heads and fell down. Illya then hits a chop and boot to the head. Elijah bleeds from his forehead and the two trade chops.

Elijah then hits an Irish whip and a knee in the corner. Elijah then clotheslines Hayes to the apron. Elijah then pushes Hayes against the ring post and Hayes hits a forearm. Elijah then hits a release suplex to bring Hayes back into the ring, resulting in a near fall on Elijah. Elijah then locks him in with a reverse chinlock. Hayes then hits a belly to back suplex. Hayes then runs into the boot and Elijah hits a slam and back senton for a near fall. Elijah then goes for a powerbomb, but Hayes counters with a back body drop and springboard clothesline for a nearfall. Hayes then hits a forearm and Elijah counters.

After that, both men continued to fight with chops and slaps. Elijah then locks him in a waistlock and Hayes hits a back elbow to the face and Elijah goes down. Elijah then hits a chop. Elijah then hits a leg sweep and kicks Hayes in the head. Elijah then hits a boot to the head and Hayes hits a boot of his own. Then Ilya hits an enzuigiri and Hayes hits a la mystica for a nearfall. Elijah then blocks a suplex, stretches and tightens his abdomen, and hits an elbow to the head. Hayes then hits a series of elbows. After that, Illya fires a Konstantin Special for a nearfall.

Elijah then goes up top and goes for a Coast to Coast, but Hayes tries to counter with a Fast 48, but Elijah blocks it and hits a powerbomb for a nearfall. Furthermore, Ilya hits a knee to the back of the head. Hayes then hits a clothesline. Both men then kick each other. Illya then hits a kick and a German suplex. Elijah then stands up and hits a German suplex. Hayes then hits a flurry of elbows and kicks and breaks free. Elijah then gets Hayes to his feet, but Hayes escapes and kicks Elijah’s knee for a springboard DDT for a near fall. Hayes then hits a chop, goes to the apron, and goes back into the turnbuckle. Elijah then stands up and Elijah stops Haze and crotches him.

Hayes then slaps Elijah as he tries to climb the turnbuckle. Elijah then slams a forearm into his back. Hayes then hits a headbutt. Hayes then goes to the apron and Elijah hits a forearm to the chest. Elijah then hits a deadlift superplex. Both men then go to the apron. Hayes then slaps Elijah and Elijah chops Hayes. Hayes hits a clothesline and Elijah hits a chop. Elijah then carries Haze over his shoulder and Haze stands up. Hayes then hits a thrust kick and twist cutter on the apron. Both men then fall to the floor.

Hayes then goes up top and Elijah chops Hayes on the turnbuckle. Furthermore, Ilya hits a chop and a jumping headbutt. Elijah then hits Hayes with a series of chops on the turnbuckle. Elijah then carries Hayes on his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckle for a near fall. Elijah then goes to the top and Miz pushes Elijah off the turnbuckle onto the top rope. Hayes then hit the first 48 for the win.

Open Challenge Match winner and current WWE United States Champion Carmelo Hayes!

After the match, The Miz starts clapping at ringside and Hayes looks at Miz at ringside. Hayes then got angry and Miz ran to the back.

We then see a clip of Drew McIntyre winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. It then cuts to last week’s fight between Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu.

Michael Cole is then seen interviewing Cody Rhodes. Cole asks Cody about losing the title. Cody said he would rather talk about getting the title back than losing it. Cody then talks about winning the Royal Rumble for the third time. Cole then interrupts and asks Cody about Jacob Fatu. Cody says he respects Cole for asking that question. Jacob Fatu then entered the room and Nick Aldis told Fatu to leave. Cody then says it’s okay and asks Fatu to join him. Fatu then says he was focused on Drew, who kicked his teeth in, and Fatu says he doesn’t care how Cody feels. Then Fatu says you had to be a hero and lay hands on him. Then Fatu says his wheels were spinning and he was thinking.

Then Cody said it didn’t look like you were thinking. Then Cody says you were acting. Cody then says he’ll tell Fatu something no one else will. Then Cody says you acted instead of thinking. Cody then says that’s what got you in jail in the first place. Fatu says these are things everyone knows. Fatu says he almost got fired before he was even hired. Fatu then says that adjusting those choices has made him a better person. Fatu then says that thanks to that, he is standing here now. Cody then says he’s not the champion and this match should have been for the title. Fatu then says there is no need for a title match. And he says Drew was already out the door before getting involved. Cody then said that Fatu had never been a champion. Fatu then says that he no longer thinks of them as his own. And he said, do you think that the cannon is malfunctioning and is out of control? Fatu says he’s very in control and tells Cody to think about it. Then Fatu leaves and we cut to Cole and Barrett. Cole then mentioned that Aldis told Rose and Fatu to leave the arena.

We then see Chelsea Green and Alba Fire walking behind them and Jordynne Grace standing there. Green said she wanted to talk to Jordyn, but she’s a star and needs a platform. Green then offers her to become part of their group. And she said Jordyn could start at next week’s Royal Rumble. And she says Green could start tonight and play in the game against Jade. Then Grace said she was there.

They then receive a video package announcing that Roman Reigns will be competing in the Royal Rumble match.

Chelsea Green and Alba Fire come down to the ring for their next match of the night. Jade Cargill will follow, and Jordynne Grace will be at ringside to watch the next match.

Non-title match: WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green

The match begins with Green hitting a splash over the top rope. She then sends Jade into the ring. Jade then hits a right that lifts the green. She then throws Green into the corner. Jade then hits some kicks and slams Green into the opposite turnbuckle. Jade then hits a fallaway slam, which sends Green rolling out of the ring. Jade then goes outside and throws Green into the ring.

Jade then confronts Jordyn and she gets on the ring apron. Jade then gets in the ring, but Green goes to the top rope and hits a dropkick. Green then hits a double knee. Green then goes for a cover, but Jade kicks out. Jade then hits a kick to the face followed by a powerbomb. Fire then goes up to the ring apron, but Jade hits a big boot. Jade then hits Jaded and wins.

The winner of the non-title match is WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill!

After the match, Jordyn Grace asked what this meant. Then she said, are we going to do this match so we don’t have to defend the title? Grace then says she’s in the Royal Rumble so she can meet Jade on the other side. Then she said she could do it right now. Jade then leaves the ring.

We then see Alexa Bliss in the background and then Charlotte Flair appears. Flair asks Alexa if she’s ready. Alexa says she can focus on something other than her team. Charlotte says the Rumble is coming. Alexa then talks about last year’s Rumble and Flair mentions that she won. Alexa then says that if Flair had won at WrestleMania, none of this would have happened.

Then we met Solo Chicoa and he said that the fireflies were here and they were having a terrible awakening. And he says tonight starts with him and Tama Tonga. Solo says he will win the Royal Rumble and bring the title back to the group. And with this lantern, he says, there’s nothing you or he can do.

Wyatt Six then makes his way down to the ring for his next match of the night. This is followed by MFT, with Solo Shikoa sending Tara Tonga to the rear to protect Uncle Howdy’s lantern.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Wyatt Six (Joe Gacy, Dexter Loomis) (c) vs. MFT (Solo Chicore, Tama Tonga)

The match started with Tama Tonga and Joe Gacy. Tonga hits a series of right hands and then a body slam. Solo is then tagged in and hits Gacy with a right hand. Tonga is then tagged back in and Gacy hits a right hand that sends Tonga into the ropes. Loomis is then tagged in and they double-team him. Lumis then follows up with a dropkick followed by a monkey flip. Solo comes next, but Lumis hits a dropkick. After that, Solo and Tama Tonga went out. Wyatt Six then splashed MFT.

Solo tries a running hip attack on Loomis, but Loomis avoids it. Lumis then hits a back suplex. Tama Tonga and Gacy team up. Gacy hits a series of right hands, followed by a kick to the face. Gacy then hits a back suplex. Solo comes in but Gacy hits a kick to the face followed by a back suplex. Then Tama Tonga hits a right hand. He sends Gacy into the ropes again, but Gacy hits a clothesline. Loomis is then tagged in and they double-team him. Loomis then goes for a cover, but Solo breaks it up. Gacy then clotheslines Solo outside the ring. Gacy then attempts a suicide dive, but Solo hits Gacy with a right hand. Lumis then hits Solo with a splash over the top rope. Lumis then climbs to the top rope, but JC Mateo climbs onto the ring apron. Lumis then slams down with a right hand and hits Tama Tonga with a frog splash.

He then goes for the cover but Tama Tonga kicks out. Tonga Loa then goes up to the ring apron, but Rowan pulls her down. Rowan then hits a crossbody on Tonga Roa and JC Mateo. Tara Tonga then appeared with a Wyatt Thicke lantern. Tara Tonga then hit Rowan with a big boot, sending Rowan flying over the barricade. Uncle Howdy then walks behind Tara Tonga. Then he turned and Uncle Howdy put him in the Mandible Claw. Solo then hits Uncle Howdy with a Samoan Spike. Solo then grabs the lantern and in the ring Tama Tonga sends Lumis into the ropes. He then distracted the referee and Solo hit Lumis with a lantern. Tama Tonga then hit a clothesline from Cut Throat for the win.

Then we head to the back and see Nick Aldis on the phone. Next, R-Truth appears. Truth tells Aldis that she’s here to bet on the Royal Rumble. AJ Styles then shows up and R-Truth leaves. Aldis told AJ that he watched RAW on Monday, and AJ said he was putting his career on the line at the Rumble. AJ then tells him that he’s sure he wants to. And although Mr. Gunther forced John Cena to retire, he says that Mr. Gunther said that the disrespect he displayed made him angry. He says he won’t let Gunther make a decision until his time in WWE expires.

Afterwards, Ardis tells AJ that there is another reason why he came to Montreal, and Shinsuke Nakamura appears. He asks AJ why he is willing to lose everything. AJ says if GUNTHER doesn’t step up, he’s already lost. And before Nakamura gets in the ring with Gunther, he says this to prove he’s still amazing. The match starts with Frazier locking in an armbar, but Gargano trips him. Frazier then stands up and hits an armdrag takedown. He gets Gargano to his feet again, but Gargano hits him with an elbow to the face. Frazier then goes to the ropes and hits a dropkick. He then sends Gargano into the corner and Gargano climbs onto the second rope. Frazier then climbs to the top rope, but Gargano lifts him up and Frazier falls face-first into the turnbuckle. Gargano then knocks Frazier off the apron and into the ringside barrier. Gargano then throws a series of punches. Gargano rakes the eye with a boot, but Frazier throws a flurry of punches. Gargano then hits a series of forearms. Gargano throws more punches and hits a suplex for a near fall. Gargano then hits a cobra clutch.

Frazier then charges into the corner and Gargano drives him into the turnbuckle. Gargano then hits a kick for a near fall. Gargano throws more punches and chokes Frazier against the ropes. Candice chokes Frazier on the ropes as the referee deals with Gargano. Gargano then hits a chop. Frazier stands up and hits an enzuigiri. Frazier then hits a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT. Frazier then throws a punch. Frazier then hits a springboard double sledge followed by a chop. Frazier then floats up in the corner and hits a slingblade. Frazier then goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Frazier then hits a flip dive on Gargano. Frazier then goes for a Phoenix Splash, but Gargano moves and Frazier rolls through. More kicks by Gargano and a knee kick by Frazier. Both men then exchange kicks.

Gargano then counters a stepping move with a thrust kick. Gargano then hits a Fisherman’s Buster for a near fall. Gargano then goes up top, Frazier goes up top and hits a superplex, followed by a swinging neckbreaker for a nearfall. Frazier then climbs to the top rope, but LeRae gets on the ring apron and distracts Frazier. He goes for another Phoenix Splash, but Gargano avoids it. Axiom then takes back the mask and places it on Lelae’s head. That distracts Gargano and LuRae accidentally hits him. Frazier then rolled him up for the win.

The single match winner is Fraxiom’s Nathan Frazer!

After the match, Axiom thanks Gargano for giving him the mask, but Candice LeRae snatches it back and runs through the crowd as Gargano retreats up the entrance ramp.

We then head to the back where Kathy Kelly is discussing the match with Nia Jax and Rush Legend. Rush said they proved to be the most dominant and destructive team in WWE. And she says it’s clear what will happen. Nia then says that she will be the first choice for the tag titles. She then said she was going to go to the Rumble and eliminate everyone together. Rush then says they are coming together as a team.

Drew McIntyre is then seen walking behind him.

Then, undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre comes down to the ring. Drew grabbed the mic and started paying tribute to Montreal. Then Drew said he was tired of French and let’s get down to business. Then Drew says it was a tough time. And Drew said it’s been more than 30 years since a Canadian won a Stanley Cup. Drew says he finally has a champion he can be proud of. Drew then asks if he saw Jacob and Cody’s therapy session. Drew then mentions tomorrow’s No. 1 Contenders match. Then Drew says we have Trick Williams. Drew then says he’ll go get them. Then Drew said there was Damian Priest. And Drew said the one-hit wonder ruined a year of his career. Drew then says that if they fight next week, it will be the end of his career. Then Drew said Randy Orton. Then Drew says it’s Randall Keith Orton, a civilized man, who can’t work right now. And Drew says last but definitely most important is Sami Zayn. Triple threat match for #1 contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Sharlexa (“The Queen” Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss) vs. “The Boujee Bully” Rush Legend & “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax vs. WWE United States Women’s Champion “The Beautiful Madness” Julia & Kiana James

The match begins with all six women fighting in the ring. Flair, Legend, and Kiana James then remain in the ring. Legend hits a spinning elbow on Flair and Kiana James corners Legend. Flair then hits a clothesline on Kiana James. Flair then hits a hurricanrana on Legend and Legend falls outside the ring. Bliss is then tagged in and climbs the top rope. Kiana then goes for a Fisherman’s Suplex on Flair, but Flair blocks it. Rush joins in and gets Flair to his feet and goes for a delayed double vertical suplex, but Flair counters with a double DDT. Julia then pulls Alexa off the apron to stop her from tagging in. Kiana then slapkicks Flair and Nia hits a clothesline on Kiana. Nia then hoists Flair onto her shoulders and Nia goes for a super Samoan drop into the turnbuckle, but Kiana goes down with a Tower of Doom and Kiana gets a near fall on Flair.

Kiana then confronts Pai and Flair, and Nia hits a shoulder tackle on Kiana. Giulia then tags, and so does Alexa. Alexa then hits Julia with a shoulder tackle and a dropkick. Alexa then hits Nia with some strikes and kicks, followed by a dropkick. Alexa then drives Julia to the mat and Nia lifts Alexa onto her shoulders, but Alexa counters with a DDT for a near fall. Julia then hits a missile dropkick on Nia. Alexa then aims for Sister Abigail, but Rush hits her boot and nearly falls. Nia then hits a pop-up headbutt on Julia, and Kiana tags in and hits 401k, but Rush punches Kiana. In addition, Rush blocks a tornado DDT, Rush sets up a rush extension and hits it, but Flair hits a spear. Kiana then emerges victorious.

Sami Zayn is then seen walking behind him and he tells Damian Priest that he is a little annoyed but has no problem with Priest. And he said there was a problem with the trick. Single match: Damian Priest vs. Trick Williams

The match begins with both men locking up and going around the ring. Trick then gives a break and pushes the priest. The priest then pushes back. The trick ends with a side headlock. Priest then locks in a front facelock and then a side headlock. Priest then gets a rollup for a near fall. Priest then locks in an armbar. The trick is to punch at the break. Trick then lands a punch in the corner. Trick hits a chop and an uppercut. And Trick hits a chop. Priest then hits a chop on Trick. When Priest blocks Iris Whip, Trick lands a punch. Trick then hits an Irish whip and a suplex for a near fall. Trick then runs into a back elbow. Priest then misses a roundhouse kick and Trick hits a leaping neckbreaker for a near fall.

Sami Zayn then headed to ringside and Trick watched him walk. Priest then sends Trick into the corner and Priest hits a flurry of punches and forearms. Priest then saw Sami at ringside and said something to him. Priest then goes Old School to the turnbuckle and Trick kicks off the ropes and goes for Priest’s crotch. Trick then kicks Priest to the floor. Trick then sends Priest into the ringside barrier and apron. Trick then sends Priest into the ring steps. Trick then says a few words to Sami.

Trick then sends Priest back into the ring. Trick then hits a spinning back heel kick for a near fall. Trick then chokes Priest with the ropes. The trick is a reverse chin lock. Priest then hits a series of forearms, and Trick hits a series of knees and back elbows for a near fall. Priest and Trick then exchange punches. And the trick ends with a front facelock. Priest then landed punches and Priest blocked a suplex attempt. Trick then hits some forearms and Priest hits a Broken Arrow. When Trick throws a punch, Priest punches back. Both men then go back and forth. Priest then hits a flying forearm and a faceplant. Priest then goes for an elbow into the corner.

Trick then hits a Cyclone Kick for a near fall. Trick carries Priest on his shoulders, but Priest stands up. Trick then escapes from South of Heaven and Priest hits a kick and rolling elbow. Trick then hits a heel kick and Priest hits a roundhouse kick. Trick then threw a kick, and both of them delivered a cyclone kick at the same time, knocking both of them down.

Priest follows with a kick and Trick drops Priest onto the ropes and hits Uranesi for a near fall. Trick then tries a jumping knee but misses. Priest then hit a flying flatliner for a near fall. Priest then set up for a rebound clothesline and Trick went to the floor, right up to Sami. Priest then goes to the floor and tries to pounce, but Trick slams a flapjack into the announce desk. Trick then sends Priest into Sami. Trick then beats the count and hits a forearm on Priest. Trick then sends Priest back into the ring, where he returns. Sami then hits a forearm and the referee calls for the bell.

Singles match won by disqualification, Trick Williams!

After the match, Sami punches and kicks Trick into the corner. Priest then pushes Sami and Sami punches Priest. Sami then kicks Trick and Priest hits Sami with a stab kick. Trick then hits Priest with a flying knee. Randy Orton then sneaks into the ring and hits Trick with an RKO. Sami and Randy then do some work and Randy hits Sami with an RKO. Randy then strikes his signature pose as the show draws to a close.
