AEW TNT champion Adam Cole shares optimism about the current trajectory of all elite wrestling and outlines his ambitions for championship governance. Cole, who joined AEW in 2021, told the Battleground podcast that it was “an incredible time” for Tony Khan’s first promotion.
“I feel that energy is better. I feel that the excitement around the show is better.”
In Cole’s view, that energy and excitement would not be possible without AEW fans, who are the “best wrestling fan in the world.” Similarly, the AEW roster continues to have “IT” weekly, and Cole is excited for his dream match for the future.
“I didn’t have a chance within AEW because there are as many people as I want to face.
Cole is ready to face his AEW TNT Championship against Ospreay, Knight and others, and is aiming to become “the best TNT champion of all time.” And while not the feat of acclaimed champions like Derby Allyn, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and more, Cole may have his name among these stars to quickly hold TNT Gold.
