Orlando puts serious money at the table to bring WWE and UFC back into town, including pitch hosting WWE and UFC WrestleMania 2031.
According to Sports Business Journalthe Orange County Commission approved $29.46 million in the Tourism Development Tax Sports Incentive Fund to support five major event bids. The biggest slice? $18 million for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission “We will draw four future events from WWE and the UFC, including WrestleMania in 2031.”
that’s right. Orlando is not only trying to get back the biggest wrestling weekend of the year, but is also sought a full acquisition. WrestleMania 2031 will be held at Camp World Stadium for two nights in April, while Kia Center will host Raw, Smackdown and other events at Wrestlemania Week.
They haven’t stopped there. The city is also attracting attention:
- Survivor Series or Saturday night main event Late 2026
- UFC Payper View for August or September 2027
- Royal Rumble February 2028 at Camp World Stadium
Jason Siegel, president and CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, said the proposed deal. “Shows 10-12 may be included at both Kia Center and Camping World Stadium.” And I checked that “WWE has conversations with about 20 other cities at various events.”
In addition to that, another $11 million has been allocated to Florida Citrus Sports to transform Camp World Stadium into a temporary home for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2027.
Orlando previously hosted the WrestleMania XXIV and the WrestleMania 33.
