Hank & Tank’s first WWENXT tag title challenger announced

In “WWE NXT” stands and delivery, Hank Walker and Tank Leisure defeated the dominant forces of Nathan Fraser and Axiom, becoming the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Next week they will face their first challenger.

On tonight’s episode of “WWE NXT”, Yoshiki inura approached “NXT” general manager AVA, claiming that his time on “NXT” would soon end. Inamura followed up with an emotional claim that he was feeling bad for Josh Briggs, who won the NXT Tag Team Championship. Feeling sympathy for Inamura, Ava officially acknowledges Inamura and brigs another tag title opportunity in next week’s episode of “NXT.”

As Ava leaves the frame, the dog laughs along with Briggs, revealing that his emotional display is a trick to secure another title shot for them. The two previously tried Frazer and Axiom for the very title on “NXT” Vengeance Day, but were lacking. Last week, Inamura and Briggs had the opportunity to return to the tag title photo again by competing in the number one candidate gauntlet. Hank and Tank won this match and instead got the aforementioned opportunity in stands and delivery.

The existence of Inamura in NXT and its partnership with Briggs dates back to November 2024. It also comes as part of an ongoing partnership between WWE and Noah.
