Randy Savage’s untold bond

“Macho Man” Randy Savage has captivated fans for decades, but he never knew him like his older brother, Lanny Poffo. With shared footage Dark Side of the Ring: Unprecedentedalso known to wrestling enthusiasts as a genius, Poffo revealed the personal aspects of the macho man he only experienced.

“Growing up with Randy was like he was my second father. He was in charge of discipline, he could lecture… but he did it in a way that made me feel good about myself.”

Randy served as Lanny’s second father. Because their biological father, Angelo Poffo, was a professional wrestler who frequently traveled to the United States. A few years later, Lanny applied what he and his ex-wife learned from both his father when he and his ex-wife welcomed their daughter Meghan into the world.

Like many wrestler sons, Randy and Lanny developed complicated relationships with Angelo. On the recording, Poffo recounted the emotional conversation that he and Randy buried their father in March 2010 and the brothers shared about who the better son was.

“Randy got drunk after the funeral and said, ‘You were a better son than me.’ I said, “I don’t think so.” He said, “Oh, that was it.” I saw what you did for our father, you gave him that bed, you know it with your credit card, and you did it all, you sent them to Israel, Japan, Hawaii until they begged you. And I said, “You were a better son than me.” ”

“[Randy said] “No, you’re a better son. No matter how hard you try, you couldn’t get that battle royal for Daddy.”

The battle royal in question was the 1987 WWE Legend Battle Royal. It was an event that Angelopofo was not chosen to participate.
