Aleister Black (aka Malaki Black) returned, resulting in a notable return on Friday at WWE Smackdown.
On the show, they came out to interrupt the segment with the Miz, whom Black was talking about. Miz went to enter the black face, but Black laid out him with a black chunk and then sat in the ring to finish the segment. Black has returned to his old entrance theme song.
Black first became prominent in WWE’s NXT from 2017 to 2021. During his time at NXT, he was a huge success, winning the NXT Championship and winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Ricochet.
Following his stint on NXT, Black has moved to WWE’s main roster. However, his time was shortened and he was released in 2021. From 2021 to early 2025, he wrestled for AEW under the Malakai Black in Monica. A few weeks ago, his tenure at AEW ended when he was released from the company.
