WWE Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green says the title victory was a “perfect moment”

WWE star Chelsea Green is the first women’s US champion in the midst of her reign that began in December 2024. Appearing in “Click and Tell,” the champion explained why the night was hard to beat in the future.

“It’s on Long Island and it’s with all my in-laws. Everyone in my family flew there,” Green said. “It was just the perfect moment. The crowd was amazing. They chanted my name from start to finish.”

Green recalls bringing her family backstage to take a photo with the title after the show. The victory marked Green’s first ever single championship victory in WWE, and she was able to do it on a big stage as WWE revives SNME for the first time since 2008.

However, Green also revealed that initially there is another plan for a title match. The WWE Survivor series Wargames took place a few weeks early in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was originally supposed to win the Women’s US Championship there, so Green even allowed her friends and family to attend. However, she didn’t appear on the show at all.

The wrestler was naturally annoyed at the turn of the event, but Greene asserted that her final crown made up for it. She ended up smashing a sewing machine just before the main event at SNME.

“It was a moment when a wrestler dreams,” Green said.
