Rock and Triple H had one of the biggest rivals of WWEThere’s an era of attitude, especially after “Stone Cold” Steve Austin leaves the injury, Brahmable is the babyface at the top, and the game becomes a sneaky heel. A quarter century later, both men are as successful as you can get. Rock is a Hollywood actor, one of the most famous people on the planet, and Triple H is WWE COO and creative lead. However, everything may not be that big between the two. This year’s WrestleMania main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena was a disaster. This is because Dwayne Johnson didn’t appear. Now there are rumours that the rock may weaken the triple or try to do his job.
Rock and Triple H dominated WWE in the Age of Attitude
They were WWE’s top baby face and heels
- Triple H and Shawn Michaels held back the young rocky Mavier.
- Iwa refused to work with HBK in WWE.
- Rock and Triple H carried an era of attitude during Steve Austin’s hiatus.
Rock and Triple H didn’t have a great start in WWE. As rookie Rocky Maivia was about to make it, Triple H and Shawn Michaels tried to hold him down and ruin his career. Rock refused to face Sean Michaels, but HBK’s back injury eventually forced him out of WWE, but Triple H was still there so the great thing and the game had no choice but to work together.
Their feud began with a mid-card in the InterContinental Championship and then a rivalry between DX and national rule, but in 1999 and 2000 they were two biggest stars in WWE. Their charisma and chemistry made them for their perfect rivals. Steve Austin was out with a neck injury, but even in his absence, Raw’s rating continued to grow. That’s because of what Dwayne Johnson and Paul Levesque accomplished.
The road to Wrestlemania 40 was confused
Triple H booked Cody Rhodes to face Roman rule
- Rock played his number one priority.
- Triple H continued to take charge of NXT before becoming WWE’s creative lead.
- Iwa tried to steal Cody Rhodes’s Leslemania spot.
In the 2000s, Rock and Triple H went their separate ways. The former came back every few years, leaving WWE behind, but acting was his priority. Triple H did not leave WWE. He was running NXT when he couldn’t wrestled anymore, and when the scandal kicked out Vince McMahon, he stepped up to run the creative direction of WWE. Triple H is believed to have turned the company around after a disastrous few years under Vince, but an absolutely strange path to WrestleMania 40 has come.
Fans have long wanted a dream match between cousin Rome’s reign and rock. The great admitted that it had almost happened at WrestleMania, but in a deaf move he decided in the final moment that WrestleMania 40 was then. There was one major problem. That was at Cody Rhodes. Triple H was creating a compelling story for a year about American nightmare ending his story. He booked Cody to win the Royal Rumble. You couldn’t just tell Rock No because of his status and he is now part of the TKO board. Everything Triple H built was destroyed, but thankfully the fans were very loud and rebellious, and WWE rebooked Rhodes v. Reign.
Rock responded to accusations about triple h
Triple H did not thank Lock during his Hall of Fame speech
- Rock showed a strange look on Bad Blood and the first Netflix Raw.
- Rock told Pat McAfee that he had booked the WrestleMania 41 main event in a different way.
- Do Rock and Brian Gewirtz control WWE from Triple H?
His relationship with Lock has not improved since then. He appeared in Bad Blood and stared at Rhodes and Reign, but there was no story behind it. Rock was because Triple H had to let him do because he wanted it. In the first Netflix Raw, Locke was out of his character as a babyface for the company that praised Rhodes and Reign. Then came that strange smackdown when Locke came back again and asked Cody Rhodes what his soul was. This was not a Triple H decision. At the Pat McAfee Show, Locke claimed that Effort CEO Arie Manuel called him and asked him to appear in the Elimination Chamber because ticket sales were low. It can be argued that WWE didn’t need the rocks, but the end of PLE is unforgettable, with John Cena looking back at Cody’s heels and working with the rocks. It may have been the biggest heel turn of all time, but the follow-up was weak, Cena became a fan-hate Cry Baby, with Rock never showing up. Not only that, but Locke originally wanted Cody Rhodes to turn his heels.
Nevertheless, fans thought Lock was certainly there at the end of WrestleMania 41, but we were nothing more than an unfortunate appearance of Travis Scott. Although Rock explained that he tried to save his face with the Pat McAfee Show and decided to step aside so that others could tell the story, he also took time to criticize the main event. Looking at how Triple H was booked, this was a passive offensive slap in the face of the game.
It doesn’t seem like things are going well between Triple H and Rock. Do you want proof? During Triple H’s never-ending Hall of Fame speech, he made no mention of the rocks. That’s a lot to say. Triple H is not going to talk about that, but fans are upset about how Rock continues to ruin Triple H’s creative plans. On a busted open radio, Dave Lagreka tore Rock’s comments to McAfee, saying he was throwing a triple H under the bus. The final boss answers this and writes on Instagram:
“Hello Dave, business is a complete job. Always, always, always. Every aspect, every match. Every interview. Every interview. Join us for me, Cody, Cena, Brian and our creative discussions.
Did you notice that he didn’t mention Triple H in those creative arguments, despite being someone who appears to have final say? If you’re wondering who Brian is, Locke mentions WWE rock writer Brian Gewartz decades ago. Some are worried that Locke is trying to creatively control WWE with Gewirtz in the near future. That’s not totally overstated. Rock is already on the TKO board, he is an incredible friend of Ali Emmanuel, and WWE President Nick Kahn has been one of his best friends since childhood. It will be very interesting to see what happens by determining from anywhere that the lock will then appear in WWE.
