In a recent interview with Sports illustration includedAlex Hammerstone explained why he decided to say goodbye to TNA wrestling.

At the end of his TNA run: “At one point, perception is reality. So I was sitting there and from my perception it felt like the company had stopped caring about me and maybe I needed to do something different. Maybe they weren’t looking for something I didn’t give to them, and I didn’t get it.”
In his match against Josh Alexander, he was not selected by TNA for votes at the end of 2024 awards: “I don’t care if it’s a small number of fans. I don’t care if I lose to the poll. Please join in the poll. So I felt like my faith was lost. And I don’t know where it came from, but I can’t blame anyone other than myself, but that’s what I’m going to do. The direction for me, why should I try so hard?
