WWE chose the wrong rapper to help John Cena

7 Min Read

It was one of the most shocking moves in WWE history when John Cena turned his heel against Cody Rhodes in the elimination chamber. Sadly, follow-ups of such huge character changes have become flat. Cena was absent for weeks and when he showed up, his motivation was a lazy trope, hating the fans. Plus, the rocks that Cena participated in never appeared, and could not even appear at WrestleMania 41. Instead, all we got was interference from rapper Travis Scott. Talk about your disappointment! We hope that a feud with longtime rival Randy Orton will save John Cena’s final run as WWE champion, but there is one great way to make things go a long way. A short segment of SmackDown showed the path ahead. Cena has the wrong rapper on his side. It’s time for his super fan, R-truthturning badly and joining the man he idolizes.

R-Truth has idolized John Cena for a long time

R-Truth’s fandom brought some great comedy moments

  • R-Truth first wrestled as K-Kwik in WWE.
  • His comedic acts like an invisible friend named Little Jimmy have made him a fan favorite.
  • R-Truth says John Cena was his childhood hero.

R-Truth has a wrestling career that has been around for nearly 30 years. He first appeared in WWE as K-Kwik in the era of attitudes, then went to TNA under the real name of Ron Killing, along with “The Truth.” The killing became the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, but since 2008 he has returned to WWE. He is an incredible talent and multifaceted rapper, but his most successful comedy acts with fans, including an angle with his invisible friend “Little Jimmy.”

For years, running gags have been about R-Truth being John Cena’s biggest fan. He is in awe of Senna’s leader, claiming that China is his childhood hero, even if he is 53 (yes, R-Truth is really 53). He is older than the current WWE Champion. It makes it impossible to dislike R-Truth characters. Yeah, he might be a bit ridiculous, from accidentally entering the Women’s Royal Rumble to confusing Triple H and Tonma Sochi Ampa, but his gimmicks love him as a broad-eyed child-like man who is amazed by everything. And it will also be the perfect person to corrupt him by John Cena on the heels.

R-Truth spoke to John Cena on Backstage on Smackdown

WWE fans don’t care about Travis Scott

  • R-Truth was confused about John Cena’s heel turn.
  • He is also a rapper outside of his wrestling career.
  • R-Truth told John Cena to call him if he needed him.

When John Cena turned his heels in the elimination chamber, R-Truth was confused and went to social media to ask, “Why John?” He used the storyline to promote the rap video when he posted on Twitter/X that he was “just trying to stay positive.” Even R-Truth is hilarious.

On an episode of SmackDown on April 25th, he met R-Truth Backstage after John Cena performed an in-ring promotion with Randy Orton.

“I’m glad you won the championship. Man, you’ve been my hero from the start. You’re always rooted for you. Call me anytime if you need me.”

John Cena stared at R-Truth for a few seconds before leaving without saying a word while R-Truth smiled. Despite John Cena getting worse, R. Truth still idolizes his childhood hero. Perhaps it was just a simple comedy, but if WWE explored it, there’s something out there. Fans didn’t really care about Travis Scott. He hurt Cody Rhodes for the real thing in the elimination chamber when he punched his face. His WrestleMania look was a joke. There’s no reason he’s in WWE other than he wants to steal the pig from his fame. He is not working. It’s time to focus on John Cena and R. Truth instead.

Like heels r-truth will make fans hate John Cena even more

R-Truth will ultimately turn on Cena will be a big moment

  • John Cena was able to manipulate R. Truth against the fans.
  • R-Truth was previously heels.
  • Eventually, stand up for yourself and turn on Cena and you get a big response.

His character is so healthy and innocent that R-Truth’s heel turns are heartbreaking. If John Cena hates fans so much, imagine him trying to turn us R. Truth to make him hate more. He could get into his ears and tell R-Truth that we were using him laughing at him, and that only Cena could really see him. John Cena manipulated the R-Truth, perhaps initially displeased the truth and finally managed to turn the heels in full. It was done as a very different character, but R-Truth used to have great heels, but it was easy to do it again. And imagine the angle created when R-truth finally comes to his senses and turns against Cena. The moment when R-Truth confronts his childhood hero and attacks him will be one of the biggest pops you’ve ever heard.

A few months after John Sheena’s heel turn was disappointing. It can save money, but WWE must take some risks and show how evil Cena is, if fans buy it completely. I don’t mind working with rapper wrestling fans. What will John Cena manipulate and corrupt his biggest fans? Now it’s evil.
