The WWE star has fought back at fan criticism of upcoming matches, saying, “Don’t put your watch out.”

Next week’s WWE NXT episode is set to feature Battle Royale to determine the next challenger for OBA Femi’s NXT Championship at the NXT Battleground Premium Live event in Tampa.

Battle Royale will feature 25 competitors, with 23 competitors being announced at the show, spanning the NXT, Evolve and WWE LFG rosters.

Responding to fans who called the match lineup “Aurares” Ridgehollandthose featured in the match responded to criticism.

He simply said:

Now don’t fuck the watch

Ridge Holland recently challenged both the NXT Championship at the NXT deadline in December and the NXT North American Championship with Tony D’Angelo on NXT TV in February.

Ridge has become a regular member of the NXT roster since early 2024, following the disbandment of the Brawling Brutes Tag team alongside Butch (Pete Dunne).

Next week’s Battle Royale will feature a WWE Return Match from Timothy Thatcher, who works with the company as part of the WWE ID program.
