The first appearance of the new Syfy series “Revival,” starring WWE star commercial Punk, is set to premiere in June 2025.
The series is based on the title of an image comic with the same name, and follows a cast of diverse characters as they adapt from the grave to those who have recently died.
CM Punk will play a recurring role in the series, which will premiere on June 12, 2025 on Syfy.
Based on a comic book series created by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, the trailer shows the impact of the death toll returning to life in a small Wisconsin community.
Depending on the official “Revival” overview:
“On a miraculous day in the Wisconsin countryside, those who have recently died suddenly rose from their graves. However, this is not a zombie story, as the “resurrection” appears and acts like they once were.
“When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the heart of her own brutal murder mystery, she is left to understand the chaos in a town where everyone is alive or the undead has fallen into questionable terror and chaos.”
The WWE star makes a brief appearance in the trailer, speaks on the phone, and says ominously:
“Revival Day gave us a second chance, and I’m not going to waste it.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, we see townspeople’s reactions, from concerns from loved ones to fearing a resurrection to concerns of loved ones after local police officers leave their hearts while investigating the aforementioned murder mystery.
“Revival” starring Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott and Andy McQueen, and was created by Aaron B. Cornz and Luke Boyce.
