Behind the scenes details about the massive round of WWE talent releases that fell on Friday

New details are being reported on a batch of Friday’s releases from WWE. From the main roster, Brown Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance left the company, while “WWE NXT” also featured Cola Jade, Jakara Jackson, Riley Osborne, Javier Bernal, Oro Mensa, Zigi Dorin, Eddie Thorpe and Gals. With things standing, the main roster departure has a 90-day non-competitive clause, and “NXT” competitors have 30 days.

Fightful Select has since reported that Kai has already attracted interest from other companies and top agents in professional wrestling, and it is expected that she has plenty of offers. Baszler is a surprise within WWE, reportedly supporting “NXT” with “NXT” and re-signed it last year with the company.

Meanwhile, it was noted that Jackson was expected to be cut after splitting from Rush legend and meta during Tuesday’s “NXT.” Fightful noted that talent “is paid during this period and ready for the next career move.”

After their departure, Jade and Doryn both took them to social media and left contact details for future bookings. Jade also returned to her former Monica, Ereina Black, where she worked in indie and sporadic AEW appearances in 2019 and 2020.
