Former AEW and ROH star Ej Nduka announced that he is no longer part of the promotion after his contract with AEW expired.

A recent report by “Fightful Select” revealed that Nduka, who signed with AEW in 2023, is a free agent following the expiration of his deal. Following news of his AEW exit, Nduka shared X’s rebellious post. He insists he has no intention of sitting on the bench and it’s time for him to move elsewhere.

“I was never going to sit down. The bench was not sure. I’ve heard the phone right now. If you think this guy was made to ride the bench, you need to call 1800 numbers for causing you to suffer from mesothelioma rejected by the pencil neck,” he said.

The former bodybuilder and soccer player were previously part of WWE, but was released in 2021 and later featured in MLW and indie promotions. He joined AEW in 2023, but only wrestled in dark AEW matches, and later played a few matches at ROH. His final match at ROH was in January when he and Lee Johnson (his tag team partner in the promotion) teamed up with Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty to face Dark Order, Serpentico and Boulder in an eight-man tag team match.

Nduka was recently featured in a vignette indicating that she is expected to appear in the reality of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T’s wrestling promotion.
