A new match for the Backlash PPV has been announced.
This week’s episode of Nebraska’s Raw, Pat McAfee met Gunther after an earlier exchange. Both stars exchanged words before it was announced they would meet in the Backlash PPV.
WWE has also announced a rematch between IC titled “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Penta. This came after Dom returned JD McDonagh and then maintained the championship where he won a masked star in Raw after WrestleMania 41.
Another component was added to this equation late at night as AJ Styles notified the current champions that come after the IC title following the PPV.
WWE Backlash updated match cards
A total of five games have been announced so far due to backlash. Here are the renewal cards for the Premium Live event, which will be held on May 10th from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri:
- WWE Championship Match: John Price (c) vs Randy Orton
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Lyra Valkyria (C) vs. Becky Lynch
- Single Match: Pat McCuffy vs. Gunther
- US Championship Match: Jacob Fatu (c) vs. La Knight vs. Damien Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
- InterContinental Championship Match: Dominique Mysterio (c) vs. Penta
The company has also recently teased Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk, Jay Uso and Logan Paul. You will need to see if these matches get spots on the PPV card or if they will be played at a later date.
