Aew Star looks back on discarded match plans

The AEW Star is reflected in a discarded match that would have been played in March 2024, announced earlier that year.

“Meat Madness Match” was announced on the February 21st episode of AEW Dynamite and was scheduled to take place at the Revolution the following month.

Tony Kahn announced that the meat mad plan has halted, and the match was replaced by an All-Star Scramble.

In a recent episode of AEW unlimited, Murder Hawk’s Monster Lance Archer spoke about the positives of the “meat division” and said:

“I think it’s great because I think it gives us something like our platform. We’re always thought of as super heavyweights or something you want to call, but give them a meaty name.

With the origins of the “Division,” Archer reflected the reception among fans in the reception to the All-Star Scramble, saying:

“When Sting was supposed to do a retirement show and play a meat crazy game, it really started to happen, but it eventually turned into an All-Star Scramble, but the moment he and I liked Brian Cage before he and I were together, Will Hobbs, Wardrow, myself, and we all started running it into difficulties.

“They chant, meat, meat, meat, and they wanted more meat. Obviously, we had more people in the game, things were moving around and going in a different direction. But I think our fanbase really enjoys the big, bad guys who run as hard as we can, so that we can run as hard as we can and smack the meat.

In the All-Star Scramble match, Wardrow won and won a future AEW World Championship match.

Along with Archer, Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs and Wardrow, the match also featured Chris Jericho, Hook, Dante Martin and Magnus.
