Throughout the six-year history of promotion, AEW has been signed or folded into several WWE legends.
From competitors in the ring to on-screen personalities and commentators, the company was greatly helped by the presence of these business icons.
A few names have appeared in the company over all these years, which could lead to their deals occurring and returning to WWE.
There are six legends to potentially leave AEW and return to WWE
6. Billy Gunn
At the start of the promotion, all elite wrestling brought Billy Gunn for the role of backstage producer.
However, Gunn competes rarely until he officially joins the acclaimed Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.
The trio was a huge success in the WWE Hall of Fame, giving guidance to become the AEW World Tag Team Championship, with all three winning the AEW World Trios Championship.
Despite Gunn’s recent return with Anthony Bowens, he feels his current role is unnecessary and may be able to return to WWE to play a variety of roles.
