WWE’s official acquisition of Mexican Rucha Libre Promotion AAA is seen as a move that can certainly change the course of the business. That being said, some people are worried that WWE might cross the AAA on a massive scale and now Conan is shooting down such concerns.
While talking about Keepin’IT 100 podcast, Konnan was asked if he was worried that WWE would change AAA and defeat the water as he did with ECW. Conan made it clear he wasn’t worried at all.
Konnan explained that the situation at ECW happened in Vince McMahon’s era, and he does not believe Triple H thinks the same way as Vince McMahon. He pointed out that Vince McMahon is known for trying to destroy his competition, whether it’s ECW or WCW.
Konnan believes Triple H has paid attention to what wrestlers and fans like after years of behind the scenes learning and groomed for leadership. Konnan thinks he likely made a mental note about what he shouldn’t do if the game was in charge. Konnan praised Triple H for being open to working with so many people, and said it was great for the wrestling industry as a whole.
“Absolutely not. Ecw was in the Vince era. I don’t think Hunter would think it’s Vince. Vince likes to destroy competition. Fees, I’ll try not to do this, this, and this.” And one of the things he’s done is great for the industry as a whole, working with so many people. ”
Please note that WWE has already announced its first official crossover event between NXT and AAA, called NXT X AAA: Worlds Collide. The event will show off both promotional talents and mark the beginning of a new partnership.
As reported earlier, WWE plans to grow as well as work with the AAA in Mexico, fans are often watching to see how much the Mexican wrestling scene will change this year. In the meantime, we will need to wait to see if WWE’s deal with AAA will help AAA in the long term.
