Updated that Randy Orton could change his iconic WWE theme song after it was recently created.
Randy Orton has returned to the ring after being suspended for more than a year at the 2023 Survivor Series Wargame Premium Live event. He was the final member of Cody Rhodes’ wargame team.
Upon his return, it was reported that WWE had created a new Def Rebel Remix to voice Orton’s iconic theme song.
However, Orton never changes the song, and he still uses the original version of the voice to this day, and Orton offers an update on whether the song will change.
Talked to Billboard, Orton confirmed that he had plans to change his music in 2023. Last year he noted that it was the reaction of the Lyon crowd that he didn’t want to change that.
He said:
“The truth is, I was planning to change the music by returning from back surgery in the second half of 2023. In the end, I decided to keep it up.
“Then we’re going to Lyon, France. I think it was a year ago that we were there, so it all changed. The whole place was singing my song in words.
“I haven’t changed that now. It took me 16, 17 years and I had that song and they’re finally singing it. Yeah.”
Randy Orton will be appearing in his final match against John Cena for the uncontroversial WWE Championship at the Backlash in St. Louis this weekend.
