Former WWE star Blair Davenport (real name Be Priestley) has not ruled out the possibility that he is facing all elite wrestling and AEW ladies world champion Toni Tony Storm.
Davenport’s WWE Non-Compete clause is currently expired and may be signed by any promotion, including AEW. I’ll talk Tom Campbell from Cultholic, Blair Davenport revealed that she remains intimate with AEW women’s world champion Toni Storm and cherishes their friendship.
She is open to having a conversation about her next move, but she wants to follow her path. Blair Davenport also expressed her desire to take on projects that she really enjoys, rather than being obligated to perform.
“And definitely with Toni (Storm), everyone knows how close I and Toni are. We are still sisters at this point. She lives in Orlando. We see each other quite often.
“If you hurt from the gym, or you have a hard match and they book you the next day, you can’t say you don’t feel it. You have to do it even if you don’t feel 100% or you feel like you don’t want to do it. You just need to do it.”
Blair Davenport remembered being supportive during her time at WWE, but now she is hoping to be free to choose her game, especially what she is excited about. The former NXT star also said she is open to sharing the ring with Toni Storm:
“So, because someone else is telling me, I just want to do what I want because I want to enjoy it and enjoy it, rather than enjoying it. I’m not one of those people like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to lose.’ “I’m generally excited. I say there are opponents who want to push that and want to be excited about fighting people I don’t want to do all the time, or playing another match with people who have enjoyed wrestling in the past.
“I’m looking forward to taking on my own for a moment, but maybe after doing it, it’s a little more difficult… But Toni really wants to wrestle me, so I hope that one day it will happen.”
Toni Storm and Blair Davenport previously fought each other in a singles match in the UK at Frontline’s Bultion Me An Empire in June 2018. If Davenport decided to sign with AEW, they could once again share the ring.
Blair Davenport had previously signed with AEW in January 2019, but was released in 2020 after failing to travel to the US during the pandemic. She signed a contract with WWE in June 2021 and joined NXT UK. The following year, she joined NXT before being called to the main roster last June. However, she was released from the company earlier this year.
