AEW will be attending former wrestler and footballer Steve McMichael in the upcoming “AEW Collision” by former friend of the late star and WWE Hall of Fame Ric Flair.
McMichael passed away in April at the age of 67 after fighting ALS for several years. In this week’s “Clash,” AEW announced that a homage to McMichael will be held in Chicago and aired on “AEW Collision Beach Break,” which airs on April 17th. Following McMichael’s sad pass, Flair speaks in passionate terms about his late social media star, calling him a great friend and athlete. After his Hall of Fame career in football, McMichael introduced features and wrestling at WCW between 1995 and 1999, and moved to professional wrestling.
Next week’s “Crossing” will be recorded on April 14th on the same day as “Aew Dynamite” but will air on Saturday, April 17th. However, the show for the week will air live on Thursday, April 8, 2025, but will return to next week’s regular Saturday night slot. Aside from McMichael’s tribute, next week’s “Clash” will also feature an Anna Jay and Megan Beneu match.
