On WWE’s next trip to Saudi Arabia, an interesting name was bullied.

The company confirmed it returned to the Middle Eastern country on June 28th during the backlash PPV this week.

The video package promoting upcoming shows from Riyadh featured the names of top WWEs such as John Cena, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley and very easily CM Punk.

The past straight edge stars were speaking out about their partnership with Saudi Arabia with WWE. When A Lister referenced Punk in the 2020 WWE Backstage segment, he blows up Miz for working on the show and taking “blood money.”

CM Punk’s general view on the issue is believed to be the reason the company did not book him for the 2024 Crown Jewel PPV last October.

The former world champion featured in the show’s ads has shown an interesting change, bringing him even closer to the perfect company man.

The former AEW star has not participated in WWE programming since RAW after the mania where Bron Breakker took both Punk and Roman rule. He was announced to make his return this Monday at RAW.

Night of Champions is set to host three events in 2026, including the Royal Rumble PPV, making it the only Saudi Arabian event in WWE this year.
