Jeff Cobb made his WWE debut this weekend with backlash PLE. It appears WWE and Cobb have spent quite a bit of time keeping their debut a secret.
Cobb interfered in a four-way US championship match on behalf of Solo Sikoa, weeks after leaving the previous promotion, NJPW. According to “Pwinsider,” Cobb had to jump between four or five flights from Japan and arrive in St. Louis, Missouri, the city where repulsion took place on Saturday night. After arriving at the Enterprise Center, the 42-year-old star reportedly was hidden before making ringside to interfere in the match. The report added Cobb is now part of the “WWE Smackdown” roster and a wrestling brand of his new leaders, Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Fatu defended the United States Championship, where he won Drew McIntyre, former champion La Knight and Damien Priest at WrestleMania 41, and while Cobb maintained his title, “The Samoan Werewolf” was still in the midst of his title, it seems too unimpressive that Cicoro took him to help him. The former NJPW global television champion and WWE US champion wrestled in India several times and wrestled each other in their final match in 2021.
Cobb, who previously tried out at WWE, took part in the promotion after spending eight years at NJPW. Over his 15+ year career, he has also featured in WWE rival promotions AEW and Roh and Lucha Underground.
