Mina Shirakawa’s major update on the future of AEW

2 Min Read

In March 2025, Mina Shirakawa officially announced that she will be participating in all elite wrestling in the near future. Her final match of Stardom took place on WrestleMania 41 weekend in April, but since then fans have wondered when the Japanese star will fully transition to the US and regularly appear on AEW TV.

The answer to that question appears to have been answered. FightfulSelect reports that Shirakawa is not only imminent in AEW programming, but is also expected to be able to even make an appearance in the coming weeks. Her last official appearance at AEW appeared in the winter of “AEW Dynamite” in December 2024. However, she took part in a Wrestle Dynasty event in January 2025, facing AEW’s Mercedes Mohn and made a cameo appearance in the April 2025 episode of “Roh on Honorclub.”

The combat was also told that she was impressed by many AEW officials whenever she was involved in the company, and that she was expected to get a big push when she became a full-time member of the roster. Shirakawa was most recently in the US and competed in the New Japan Pro Wrestling revival event held in Ontario, California on May 9th, taking part in three ways: NJPW Strong Women’s Championship with fellow Challenger AZM and champion Mercedes Monne. AEW’s next event, “Dynamite,” the beach break edition, will take place on May 14th, and will be the next possible location where Shirakawa can make its appearance.
