The world of wrestling is stunned by the sudden death of Terry “Sub” Blank, who passed away last weekend at the age of 60. The ECW legend has had many iconic moments and matches throughout his celebratory career, with current AEW commentator Taz being one of his most memorable rivals. “Human Suplex Machine” filmed X (formerly known as Twitter) after hearing the news and tried out some words about the guy Taz wouldn’t have made it as a professional wrestler if he weren’t for him.

Taz explained on YouTube that he had looked up Sabu’s old videos the night before, and that he was laughing at various interviews to explain how much he meant his career, as he was familiar with Sabu’s sense of humor. “I wouldn’t have had the career I had, if it wasn’t for sub I would have been blessed. He didn’t have to get over me, just like that guy got over me, and he did.”

The AEW announcers continued their talk about how they debuted for ECW in 1993, with Sub intended to be the guy Paul Heyman wanted to push to the top of the company, while Taz intended to only work one game. However, it was through that match with Sub, which Taz first overcomes with ECW fans because Sub is so generous in the match. Therefore, Taz concluded the message that without sub there would be no Taz.
