Following the brutal match at the WWE Backlash on May 10th, Pat McAfee teased his future, pointing out that “don’t be scared to finish the chapter.”
McAfee lost to Gunther at St. Louis, Missouri’s WWE Premium Live event, but he pays tribute from the former world heavyweight champion.
With McAfee’s role as a WWE Raw commentator on May 12th, he now dealt with his feelings after the match.
Sharing his thoughts on Twitter, McAfee will use the book’s rationale to make his point.
“Life is a book…the page where every day leads to the next page. The stages of life go back and forth like chapters. Not every character/job/idea must appear in every chapter.
“Don’t be afraid to finish the chapter and start anew, you have to do it in the end anyway.
“And always remember to check the mirror once in a while to make sure your book is something that makes you happy. And if it isn’t, you can change direction. I think you’re allowed to do that. I don’t know the final page is written.
“I am grateful to you all for everything. I live the stupidest book ever.
His tweet ends with an interesting hashtag that further suggests he hasn’t seen or heard of him.

Following his match, McAfee shared a photo showing the damage suffered following a chop from Gunther, as can be seen under this news article.
The photo shows McAfee’s breasts turned red due to the significant impact of Gunther’s chopping hand.
Pat McAfee competed in two NXT takeover events in 2020 and broke Austin theory in 2022 with his ring-in-main roster debut at WrestleMania 38.
During his stay at WWE, all McAfee’s main roster matches were held at premium live events.
