Tonight, May 12, 2025, a massive World Heavyweight Championship match was announced on an episode of WWE Raw. “The Ring General” Gunther is currently set to challenge the winner of the upcoming title match between current champions Jey Uso and Logan Paul. The championship encounter will take place on June 9th in Phoenix, Arizona.
The announcement sets the stage for the clash, regardless of who goes between USO and Paul in the upcoming Saturday night main event. However, the current world heavyweight champion USO quickly issued a fierce response to the prospect of facing Gunther again, who won the title at WrestleMania 41.
“Do you remember me about my place? Is it my place? I’m at my place! This is my place! I’m running this place! Put this on my arm!” Jey Uso declared in Raw. “I’m going to deal with YouTubers [Logan Paul]! Then me and General Ring, we’re going to put it back! And I’m going to leave this match just like I left WrestleMania! ”
Gunther won a backlash against Pat McAfee last Saturday.
