Throughout the brand’s history, NXT has returned to folding several former WWE stars.
Whether the main roster talent returning to the developmental brand or the stars heading there will be returning, there have been several former WWE stars who have made a fresh start at NXT.
Looking at the current free agency market and the new partnerships the company has, there may be quite a few talents in the previous WWE stints that could currently impact NXT.
There are nine former WWE stars to potentially return to NXT.
9. Iiconics (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay)
Charlotte Flair recently shared photos of Sean Spears and Tyler Brees’ wrestling school, Flatback ring.
Flair, Breeze and Spears were nothing but former WWE women’s tag team champion The Iiconics.
Both Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were released from the company in 2021 and remained outside Limelight most often after a short run with TNA Wrestling.
Given the recent in-ring returns for prestige wrestling, the Iiconics could be coming back, adding more to the recently exhausted WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship scene following their recent release.
