Aew Star Skye Blue is headed for its official ring return on tonight’s “Dynamate: Beach Break,” almost a year after suffering a serious leg injury. She recently revealed about her difficult recovery and moments she feared that her career might have ended.
Blue tried to capture the injured Hikarushida, who maintained a broken fibre during the July 2024 AEW collision match and required surgery using steel sheets and screws. Speaking to Q101 Host Case Low, Blue admitted that he had retired.
“It definitely crossed my head many times. I couldn’t sleep, especially at night, so we were like four in the morning.”
She praised wrestler Kyle Fletcher as important support during her rehabilitation.
“I had to lie straight on my legs because if I moved it was just painful,” SkyBlue shared. “But this [Kyle Fletcher] He said, “No, please let me know and shut up as you’re going to wrestle, and it was the best…” Yeah, he was the biggest support I’ve ever asked for. ”
Blue will make a comeback in a 4-way eliminator match against AZM, Mina Shirakawa and AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm.
