TNA President Carlos Silva clarifies his posture after being “blood banned”

TNA president Carlos Silva has set a straightforward record of rumors of an intentional blood ban in promotions. Speaking to The Takedown of Sports Illustrated, Silva revealed that a complete ban on blad extension is not on the agenda.

“If creative or talent feels that intentional blood or heavy violence is being acquired for their story or match interests, it is “absolutely” open to TNA exploring its use. ”

Silva’s comments come after reports of a complete ban on BL extension, following the horrifying matches in recent weeks. Over the past month, TNA fans have witnessed a barbed wire brawl between Sami Callihan and Mance Warner and a violent dog collar match featuring Steve Maclin and Eric Young.

Silva admitted that the promotion was more conscious of advertisers’ preferences, and he emphasized that there is no utter ban. Instead, talent is encouraged to use blood more wisely, rather than completely eliminate it. He added that Tommy Dreamer and other members of the creative team are aiming to support and selectively use the approach to make more impact on blood and violence.

Silva also addressed concerns related to batch taping and noted that excessive blood could cause logistical issues such as stained canvas and potential safety risks for performers. But for now, although there is no complete ban on TNA blood, it is not very common on screen.
