Tonight’s May 14 episode of AEW Dynamite in Chicago, Illinois, saw a change to the regular announcement team.
Update – Schiavone appeared after Dynamite in the In-Ring Interview Segment.
The established AEW dynamite commentary team was the trio of Excalibur, Taz and Tony Shearbone.
But it’s Ian Riccaboni to join tonight’s Dynamite call, which is billed as a special episode of “Beach Break.”
Ricabone replaced Ciabone, who was absent from the desk, and tonight’s team became Ricabone along with Excalibur and Taz.
At the time of writing, there is no mention of Schiavone or why he hasn’t commentary, but I will continue to post any updates if an update appears.
This week’s conflict was recorded tonight after Dynamite, with Ciaborne normally the lead announcer of the conflict, where Nigel McGuinness joined us.
Dyamite Tonight’s opening match will be teaming up with Will Ospreay and Hangman Adam Page to face Consuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander in a tag match.
As Taketa and Alexander are members of the Don Karis family, Karis actually joined Excalibur, Taz and Riccaboni as guest commentators for the first match.
Ospreay and Page will be opponents at AEW Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 25th in the final of this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The winner of Ospreay vs Page will take on the AEW World Championships in Texas on July 12th.
John Moxley defends the World Championship against Samoa Joe tonight in a steel cage match.
