CM Punk WWE Saudi Arabia Update

An update has been revealed regarding the possibility that CM Punk will take part in the WWE Premium Live event in Saudi Arabia.

During the backlash last Saturday, it was confirmed that WWE Night of Champion will return this year, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28th.

Some names were featured in promotional videos for Night of Champions, but what sparked the controversy was CM Punk.

Before the 2023 WWE Return, Punk had made comments criticizing WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia.

Given his past comments, there were doubts as to whether Punk would attend WWE’s Saudi shows or whether he opted out like others have done in the past.

Today, the official Riyadh season social media page reposted a promotional video for Night of Champions that aired during the WWE Backlash, but there was one notable change.

The commercial punk video appearance was cut out and replaced by a Seth Rollins clip.

At the moment, there is no official word on whether Punk will be taking part in the event. Perhaps social media during the Riad season has decided to remove him from the video, even if he still plans the show.

If WWE is using the same promotional video again during the show or on its own social media, it’s worth noting if Punk will be removed from the WWE version, as it probably tells more stories.

Punk commented on his recent Instagram live stream when asked why he disliked going to Saudi Arabia.

“I’ve never been to Saudi Arabia, and I don’t hate coming to Saudi Arabia.”

I will continue to post any further updates on Punk status in WWE Night of Champions.
