Tony Kahn confirms that he changed midway through Mina Shirakawa’s AEW theme surrounding social responses

Newly signed AEW star Mirakakawa won a significant victory in “AEW Dynamate” last night. Joining social media during the show, AEW co-owner and booker Tony Kahn confirmed that he made changes to the music for online feedback, as revealed in X.

“Did you check Twitter and decide to turn everyone into pieces on the spot with that Mina theme?” wrote one X user.

“Yes,” replied Karn.

When Kiyokawa entered during last night’s beach break special, the audience seemed unsure how she would react to her new music, but Shirakawa herself tried to do her best she could. By the time the match was over, Khan had switched to the old Shirakawa theme.

Shirakawa won last night’s four-way title eliminator match by pinning current AEW women’s world champion Tony Storm. The two women face each other by winning the title in a singles match at AEW Double or Nothing later this month. In addition to Shirakawa and Storm, last night’s match featured Sky Blue and AZM.

Last year, Shirakawa began appearing on AEW and soon became part of the rivalry between Storm and Mariahmay. After Shirakawa challenged Arashi at the AEW women’s championship at Forbidden Door, May took Arashi and quickly won the title from her mentor. Despite establishing friendship and alliance with Shirakawa, May also eventually turned her on, leading to a title match at AEW Full Gear late last year. Shirakawa is currently taking part in AEW full-time.
